Publisher Natsume Atari has announced that the Tengo Project-developed action side-scroller, KAGE Shadow of the Ninja, will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in Spring 2024. This entry is a remake of the NES title Shadow of the Ninja, which went by Blue Shadow for European and Australian audiences.
Players will be able to control either of the main characters, Hayate or Kaede, each boasting unique skills to handle foes and obstacles differently. Plus, the 16-bit presentation has been carefully refined, and original composer Iku Mizutani has returned. Further, studio Dynamic Production from the original release has also returned for the artwork this time around.
Additionally, support for the following languages will be available:
- Simplified Chinese
- Traditional Chinese
