If You Don’t Know Who Saint Seiya Is, Jump Force Will Change That in New Gameplay Trailer

Bandai Namco released a new trailer for their Shonen Jump fighter Jump Force, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam in February 2019.

Characters, Pegasus Seiya and Dragon Shiryu, from the Saint Seiya manga franchise, will both be playable characters in the fighter. Their attacks range from magical blasts of energy to using bows and swords. Their attacks are fast and have a lot of power behind them making them a balanced duo.

Additionally, a new trailer was released showing off the two characters in action as well as a new stage set in Mexico and inspired by Mayan culture.

Saint Seiya has been a long-running franchise of manga and anime since the first appearance in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1986. The story focuses on an orphan, Seiya, as he discovers a mystical armor that grants him the power of the Saints and turns him into Pegasus.

In case you missed it, Yugi Muto had new gameplay revealed in his own trailer.

Author’s take: Believe it or not, the Saint Seiya brand has had previous games released in the west in the past. However, the never seem to catch on with western players as much as I’d hoped. However, with their addition in Jump Force, this could be a chance for the character to gain more popularity.
