Bandai Namco announced a new fighter for the upcoming Weekly Shonen Jump 3D fighter Jump Force, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam on February 15, 2019.
The new fighter is no other than Asta from Black Clover. In Black Clover, Asta uses energy to negate magic and nullify its effects through different swords. In his Black Asta form, Asta is granted extra strength and the ability to fly. However, without a gameplay trailer, there isn’t a way to truly see how this fighter handles in battle, but it’s assumed to be fairly close to his manga version.
Additionally, the publisher released new screenshots from the Marineford stage from One Piece.
Jump Force invites characters from across the Shonen Jump catalog of characters into one fighting game. Each character will resemble their manga selves including their movesets, personalities, and strengths. Players will choose up to 3 fighters to bring with them into battle as they switch out fighters and unleash stylish attacks.
In case you missed it, we went hands-on with the game during the open beta weekend and gave our impressions.

Author’s take: Keep ’em coming, Bandai Namco. This ever-growing cast of characters has not disappointed me once. I don’t even know if they are done yet.
