Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Part 5 – Golden Wind Vol. 3 Review – More Jojo For Us All

The adventures of Giorno and the rest of the gang continue in the third volume of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Part 5. Narancia’s stand battle with Formaggio and his Stand; Tiny Feet. The Boss’ daughter still needs protection and guidance to the boss’ location. In the iconic Jojo fashion, the stand battle between the two gang members heats up, with Narancia consistently shrunk over time by Tiny Feet’s ability. 

We see Narnacia shine in all his glory to overcome his enemy’s attacks, using his wit to its maximum. The Boss gives the group their next assignment, leading the boys to Pompei, placing the spotlight on Fugo in a stand battle. Araki doesn’t miss a beat, bringing complex battles to his series while keeping it fun. The stand battles in this volume show off how powerful our main cast is when fighting as a group, with Fugo at the center of the altercation. 

Abbacchio fans are given some treats, playing a pivotal role through the volume and shedding more light on his character motives. Araki has a precise way of putting character aspects together by mixing the past and the present, preserving the core theme of bizarre. There is a sensation unleashed when seeing these battles conclude, most likely due to the grand build-up to the climax he puts in throughout the fight. 

Seeing the gang move together in unison showcases Araki’s ability to handle multiple characters at one moment, making anyone find a character to love within the shenanigans that come with a Jojo adventure. It always feels good to hop back into the madness with these characters while still having a serious tone that carries the overall vibe—a unique Araki experience. 

If you’ve been enjoying the Part 5 manga so far, then Volume 3 will continue the trend of excitement, stress, and just weird antics with the characters. Unfortunately, the Journey as bodyguards isn’t getting any easier for Team Giorno, but each one of them is rising to the occasion to continue forward.
