Bandai Namco released a new gameplay trailer for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R showing off some of the game’s stylish matchups. Further, the trailer is voiced by the original Japanese voice actors from the anime series for fan-favorite characters Koichi Hirose and Rohan Kishibe.
Additionally, the publisher revealed that future updates are on the way based on player feedback from the Early Access Demo launched in June. These include changes to the frequency and efficacy of Taunts, adjustments for Assist Attacks, and new functionality for Practice Mode. The full list of the updates coming was shared by the publisher on their website. Sadly, rollback netcode was not among the updates listed.
The trailer released today spotlights several character abilities such as Stands and Mounted fighters, as well as in-game mechanics like Assists and Stylish Guard, among others.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R is set to feature 50 playable characters from across all 8 current parts of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, from Jonathan Joestar to Josuke Higashikata (or Gappy.) All-Star Battle R features primarily 2D combat on 3D stages, with stages and hazards stylized to resemble the iconic manga.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R will launch on September 2, 2022, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch. However, the game will launch on PC via Steam on September 1, 2022, just one day earlier.
