Retro Adventure ‘JackQuest: The Tale of the Sword’ Gets Gameplay Trailer Before Launch

Blowfish Studios released a new gameplay trailer for their indie adventure game JackQuest: The Tale of the Sword, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on January 24.

The trailer shows of the game’s pixel graphics and characters as well as enemies that Jack will encounter. Evidentally, Jack was on a walk with a girl named Nara in the woods. However, it seems that the evil orc Korg had been lying in wait in a staged kidnapping of Nara, leaving Jack to consider his next move. As you could have guessed, Jack decided he needed to save Nara and ran sword drawn into Korg’s lair, where, instead of finding Korg, he found a blade. This was no ordinary blade, inside the blade was the soul of a cursed prince named Kuro. Together, Jack and Kuro must work together to save Nara and lift the curse in an all-out retro adventure of revenge.

Gameplay has players exploring the depths of Korg’s lair where they’ll solve light puzzles, find power-ups, acquire new abilities, collect new weapons, and of course, face a handful of enemies.
