Horror Visual Novel Penned by Ryukishi07 ‘Iwaihime’ Coming West to PC With Enhanced Visuals; Demo Available Now

ShiraVN announced that they will publish the DMM Games-developed horror adventure visual novel, Iwaihime, in the west on PC-via Steam on October 23.

Iwaihime is penned by writer Rukishi07, the creator of When They Cry series, and tell a story of on the themes of “curses.” The game is a supernature horror visual novel where players will experience a story that focuses on sin, retribution, and penance.

This will be the first time the game is available outside of Japan and will feature scenario adjustments and CG improvements compared to the console re-release, making this the writer’s preferred rendition of the tale.

The story focuses on the sons of the Susuhara family who head out on their when they reach a certain age. Their goal is to refine their minds and bodies and become men. Suzumu has prepared for this did his whole life and attend Susuda Prefectural High School. Although everyone around him is having fun, there’s Toé Kurokami, who is carrying with here a cursed, and Suzumu’s life is about to change.

The mature elements of the game are described as: Contains explicit violence, blood, and gore, crude language, partial or veiled nudity, sexual themes, including allusions to sexual assault, suicide, and references to alcohol or drug use.
