It Takes Two Sells 5 Million Units Worldwide

Developer Hazelight Studios has announced that their massively popular cooperative puzzle title, It Takes Two, has sold over 5 million units worldwide. To call such a feat merely incredible would be an understatement.

Considering that this title won the Game of the Year award during the Game Awards show last year, it’s not exactly surprising to see it achieve such a lofty milestone. Still, it should be celebrated regardless. Congratulations to Hazelight Studios and all of the individuals who poured effort into crafting this experience.

It Takes Two was recently announced to be receiving television and film adaptions via a partnership with dj2 Entertainment. Details on release windows or other such information have not been yet provided.

Hazelight founder and creative director Josef Fares provided the following statement:

“Creating the world and story in ‘It Takes Two’ was so much fun for me and the team. Since it has a strong narrative with many crazy characters and just as crazy co-op action moments, the potential is huge for a great adaption to film or television.”
