FAVORITE Visual Novel ‘Irotoridori no Sekai – The Colorful World’ Steam Page Now Open for Wishlisting

Publisher NekoNyan has opened the Steam page for Irotoridori no Sekai – The Colorful World. The classic visual novel developed by FAVORITE was originally released in Japan in 2011 but it got an HD edition called HD Re:Generation in 2022.

This newest edition is the one coming west, as a trailer on the Steam page suggests. Though NekoNyan has yet to unveil a release window for the visual novel, the company has mentioned that the game will be available on PC through Steam and other platforms “soon”.

Irotoridori no Sekai tells the story of an amnesiac boy called Kanoue Yuuma. Thanks to a translucent girl called Nikaido Shinku, he obtained a special power that allows him to heal any kind of wounds at the cost of his memories.

Yuuma lives a common life, enjoying school with his childhood friend and then working with his master in the evenings. However, every time he falls asleep, he has the same dream of a girl crying for help in a white world filled with falling feathers.

Through his master’s basement, Yuuma is able to visit many other worlds. However, so far he has been unable to find one that resembles the scenery of his dream. One night, however, he sees a girl jumping from a lighthouse. She claims to know him and asks him for salvation in a way that clearly resembles the person in his dreams.

Written by Urushibara Yukito, Irotoridori no Sekai also spanned a sequel called Irotoridori no Hikari and a fandisc called Akai Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai. The heroines’ voice actresses include Kano Milk, Gaiya Maimi, Sawada Natsu, Anzu Mitsu, and Fujimori Yukina.

Besides the store page, we also got a look at some of the game’s CGs, which you can see below:
