Dark Puzzler ‘Iris.Fall’ Gets Official Steam Release Date and New Trailer
Zodiac Interactive announced that the NEXT Studio developer dark puzzle game Iris.Fall will release for PC-via Steam on December 7.
The studio also released a new trailer for the announcement which gives players a preview of that game’s mechanics and puzzles. Iris.Fall blends 3D and 2D gameplay using dark set pieces where players will control Iris through the world of shadow and light to get through a mysterious theatre. These puzzles aim to challenge players to figure out ways on how to progress but offer a nice learning curve for players to get used to the mechanics.
Previously, the game was slated for a November release window, but the developer has pushed the date back to fine-tune and polish the product to release a game up to their standards. NEXT studio states that “they are committed to providing an immersive and gripping experience for the player. The extra time for the project will help us reach that goal. We want Iris.Fall to be a release that lives up to both the standards of our players and our studio.”

Author’s take: I’m actually a fan of delays to improve the quality of games. As long as the developer has the budget and time to create a game that they are proud of I’m all for supporting that. I’m extremely excited to see what the final product of Iris.Fall is at launch.
