Dark Adventure ‘Iris.Fall’ Gets PC Release Window and New Gameplay Trailer

Zodiac Interactive announced that they will release the NEXT Studio developed adventure puzzle game Iris.Fall to PC-via Steam this November.

Along with the announcement, the developer released a new trailer showing the game’s dark theme and setting. Iris.Fall uses light and shadows as a core concept of gameplay and the way that the game’s puzzles are set up.

Iris.Fall tell the story of a girl Iris who has just woken up in a dream. As she follows a cat in a mysterious theater, she finds herself traveling back and forth through a labyrinth made of light and shadows. Evidently, Iris notices similarities between this dream theater and her own life.

Before Iris.Fall, NEXT Studio has developed Dead Coming, a non-linear puzzle game that has received generally Very Positive reviews from Steam users.

Author’s take: I found out that I was a fan of these types of games after I played Contrast on PS4, it was one of the launch titles. Dark fantasy puzzle games just seem to grab my attention, unlike other niche indie games. However, this means that I have a grown to expect clever design from the developers and not rehashed puzzle layouts. I’m excited to see what Iris.Fall has to offer.
