Inti Creates Working on 4 Unannounced Games
In Japanese outlet 4gamer’s compilation of comments from various video game developers, Inti Creates’ President and Producer, Takuya Aizu, stated that they are working on four currently undisclosed games aside from the upcoming Grim Guardians: Demon Purge.
As this was merely a concluding statement without any elaboration, there’s not much to speculate on. However, four games is a rather numerous amount, so that alone is worth thinking about.
Grim Guardians: Demon Purge tells the story of two demon hunters named Shinobu Kamizono and Maya Kamizono, who rise to challenge the demon castle that appeared where their school used to be. During gameplay, players will switch between the two characters on the fly to access their unique abilities. This mechanic is crucial for taking on platforming sections and boss encounters.
Fans of Inti Creates will know these characters as the stars of Gal*Gun: Double Peace. Additionally, enemies from the series will also appear in this new title.
Further, the game features a 2-players co-op mode where players can play simultaneously. There are also various difficulty options called the “Style System,” but players can expect a challenge for veteran players. The game mirrors classic Castlevania entries.
Regarding characters, Shinobu Kamizono utilizes long-ranged attacks, while Maya Kamizono is a close-ranged brawler. Players will need to consider the situation when choosing which sister to control as they make their way through the castle, investigating the mystery of what happened to their school and its students.
Grim Guardians: Demon Purge will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on February 23, 2023.
