New Series Gives Fans a Look at Development of Beloved RPG Series: Inside Final Fantasy IX

Square Enix launched a new video giving fans an in-depth look at the making of Final Fantasy IX, which recently released on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

The video features interviews from the beloved RPG’s creators, including:

• Shinji Hashimoto (Producer)
• Toshiyuki Itahana (Artist)
• Kazuhiko Aoki (Event Designer)
• Nobuaki Komoto (Event Planner)

This is the first entry in a series of development features titled “Inside Final Fantasy” where the studio takes a deep dive into the creation of the series by allowing the creators to talk about any secrets or anecdotes that they might have about the individual titles.

Final Fantasy IX follows a story of love and war, as a group of strangers find each other and set out on a great adventure none of them expected. Throughout their journey, they make new discoveries and meet new friends as they change their fate and fight for what they believe.

The video gives details on the game’s plot and characters. It’s interesting to see what these creators remember about the game and its development.
