Blowfish Studios announced that the Caustic Reality-developed adventure horror game, Infliction: Extended Cut, will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on February 25, 2020.
To celebrate the announcement, the developer has released a new trailer in the theme of b-rated grindhouse movie trailer. During the trailer, viewers get a chance to see some of the different environments in the game that include strong lab-type facilities and creepy houses. Furthermore, the game features a New Game+ for players to continue their adventure after the conclusion.
“Infliction is a psychological horror experience rooted in fears that can resonate with anyone,” said Clinton McCleary, founder of Caustic Reality and mission designer at Blowfish Studios. “We look forward to scaring everyone and sharing all the new content very soon when the ‘Extended Cut’ releases on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in February.”
Infliction: Extended Cut is an interactive nightmare where players will journey into a home that has is full to the brim with dark secrets. The story follows a once-happy family and their heartbreaking past as players piece together clues and try to atone for past sins. However, if that wasn’t enough, a dark force stalks the player and seeks retribution. The game focuses on survival and horror elements where players will need to do all they can to survive.
Infliction was originally released in 2018 on Steam, the Extended Cut version includes additional endings and story content as well as increased difficulty, new scares, new puzzles, and more.
