Infinite Undiscovery Character Designer Reveals 15th Anniversary Art

The character designer for the upcoming Star Ocean The Second Story R, Yukihiro Kajimoto, has shared new artwork celebrating the 15th anniversary of the tri-Ace Xbox 360 JRPG Infinite Undiscovery. Kajimoto was also the character designer for this title.

Being one of the rare JRPGs that was Xbox exclusive, Square Enix shared publishing rights with Microsoft. In this title, the Dreadknight Leonid and his Order of Chains bounded the world to the moon, with each directly connected region suffering vast environmental issues as a result. The Liberation Force sets off on a quest to sever these Chains, while Capell, who does not want to get involved whatsoever, finds himself doing just that.

It was a pretty interesting title that has become far more beloved with age, primarily due to its ambitious narrative. At the time of its initial launch, reception was more mixed than anything. Hopefully, it’ll see a port someday.
