Indie Action Title ‘Kitsune Tails’ Revealed to be Releasing for Switch Alongside Other Platforms in 2021

Developer Kitsune Games has announced that their upcoming Japanese mythology indie title, Kitsune Tails, is releasing for Nintendo Switch in Quarter 1 of 2021 alongside the formerly announced PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Linux via Steam and itch.io platforms.

Kitsune Tails is a platformer molded after Japanese mythology and diverse relationships. Players control Yuzu, a young and inexperienced kitsune who ends up in serious trouble after her first outing. A healer named Akko saves Yuzu from death, and as time passes, a romance develops between the two. Unfortunately, however, Yuzu’s childhood friend and mentor have other plans and kidnap Akko. With the aid of a special amulet granted to her by the goddess, Yuzu sets out on a journey to save Akko.

Emma ‘Eniko’ Maassen, the Kitsune Games founder, had to say this regarding the recent news about Kitsune Tails:

“Love takes many forms, but one of the things that makes love special is it can be a vehicle for self-actualization. Players will need to master outfits and abilities to find all the hidden story content and unlock the best ending, and along the way they’ll explore the relationships between Yuzu, Akko, and Kiri and watch the three women grow into better versions of themselves.”
