The CEO of Level-5, Akihiro Hino, has shared a new tweet regarding the progress of the ever-elusive Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes. This title was initially announced in 2016, but it has received several delays since.
“We are happy to announce further information regarding the new Inazuma Eleven game in a development blog next week. We apologize to all fans for the long silence and worry we might’ve caused, but I assure you [development] is properly progressing, and I hope you all look forward to next week.”

Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes currently has a planned 2023 release for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices via iOS and Android. Unfortunately, considering Level-5’s recent track record, I’m having doubts about a localized release. But hey, I’d love to be surprised.
Inazuma Eleven is a soccer-themed franchise that initially began in 2008. By 2016, over 8 million video game units had been sold. The series has also seen several successful anime, film, and manga adaptations.
