Impressive Kingdom Hearts III Fan Mod Creates Fully Playable Kairi; Project Embrace

Kingdom Hearts III fan mods need no introduction if you’ve been frequenting our site. Talented fans have taken it upon themselves to alter this latest numbered entry in ways they deem fit, such as custom cosmetics or straight-up newly playable incorporations. Adding on to the latter, Nexus Mods user Ashura1756 has released a mod titled “Project Embrace,” which provides a fully playable Kairi.

This ambitious project is still being continually updated to mend lasting bugs, but it’s an undeniably impressive feat that makes the Kingdom Hearts III experience more distinct for Kairi. Aside from her moveset being fully realized and voiced lines from Re Mind being included, her appearance during the ‘2.9’ segment of the game is of her Kingdom Hearts II appearance, referencing how Sora is in his own Kingdom Hearts II attire for that duration of the game.

If you’d like to give this mod a try for yourself, check it out via Nexus Mods. I recommend reading the entirety of the mod’s description to be cognizant of already realized and potential issues.

Developer Square Enix has announced that Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece for Cloud will be releasing for Nintendo Switch on February 10, 2022. This collection is a massive compilation, including Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIXKingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind. Unfortunately, all of these titles are only playable via Cloud.

Additionally, purchasers of either Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind or Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece for Cloud will receive a brand new Keyblade for Kingdom Hearts III called Advent Red.
