Pro Social Games announced that their Sci-Fi Diable-like adventure Imperatum will be exiting Steam Early Access on July 16. The developer has also revealed that they plan to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in 2018.
After being in the Steam Early Access program for almost a year, Imperatum added some interesting systems by implementing a “Bitcoin difficulty mode”, which encourages players to make healthy lifestyle choices. Evidentally, this mode changes the number of loot drops depending on the value of Bitcoin. For example, when the value of Bitcoin jumps, players will see more rare loot drops along with more difficult enemies. However, if the value drops, then the player will see less rare loot drops and weaker enemies.
Imperatum is set in a future Sci-Fi universe where the player is an agent who is forced into their first mission to figure out what is consuming the galaxy. The game features fast-paced combat and deep character customization.
Looking at the comments from players who have participated in the Early Access program, Imperatum is a mixed bag. Some players seem to point out a handful of glitches during gameplay and a lack of updates from developers. However, these were written months before the game’s official launch so this feedback might have been what the developers needed to make a better product.
