Boltrend Games has opened pre-registration for the Sega-developed mobile RPG Idola Phantasy Star Saga on iOS and Android devices. The release date is slated for September 17, but this has not been confirmed and could be an Apple store placeholder.
Idola Phantasy Star Saga is a free-to-play turn-based RPG where players will set out on a quest to fight the IDOLA. Around the same time, the resurrection of an evil force known as Dark Falz is approaching. Mysteries about the IDOLA are still being uncovered, and that could be the key to saving the world.
Idola Phantasy Star Saga features two different party modes, Law and Chaos. The party of Law utilizes Runes that allow them to fight with elements. On the other hand, Chaos party members use the runes to execute powerful offensive strikes. There are neutral characters as well who can join either party. Players will need to balance both parties during encounters.
Players will also have access to IDOLA battles where they can join up with friends to down the IDOLA or become an IDOLA and fight other players. The PVP arena has teams enter, but only one can win.
