Classic RPG Maker Horror Title ‘Ib’ Shows Off Switch Gameplay in New Trailer; Digital Pre-Orders Open Now
Playism released a new trailer for the kouri-developed RPG maker horror adventure Ib, coming to Nintendo Switch on March 9, 2023. Further, the game can be pre-ordered via the Switch eShop now.
Today marks the 11th anniversary of the original release, which eventually came to Steam last year, where the game holds an Overwhelmingly Positive review score.
Ib is a remake of the original game that launched as a free-to-play title in February 2012. This version of the game was created for a wider audience to appeal to gamers, no matter the experience you have with the title. Players of the free version will also notice a complete visual overhaul and a few brand-new elements that weren’t previously available.
Ib follows a young girl named Ib who visits an art gallery with her party. While exploring, she gets distracted and realizes that she’s alone. As she searches for anyone, she notices the museum begins to change.
Players must explore the museum, where several puzzles will hinder progressions. The game is full of horror elements, but through it all, Ib will still need to collect items and interact with the environment. There are multiple endings depending on a few actions that players take during the game’s story.
