Western Cinemas to Screen ‘I Want to Eat Your Pancreas’ for Two Days in Early February

Aniplex would like to remind anime fans that the romantic animated film I Want to Eat Your Pancreas will be screened in North America cinemas on February 7 and 10, tickets can be purchased from Fathom Events.

Based on the bestselling novel by Yoru Sumino, I Want to Eat Your Pancreas explores the relationship between the terminally ill Sakura and an unnamed protagonist, “Me”. The film will follow the two on a journey of discovery and learn how to find happiness together, even though they are opposites.

“I am pleased to be able to share this beautiful story to everyone living in the U.S.,” said Aniplex of America president, Shu Nishimoto. ”This film captures both the beauty of Japan’s landscape as well as the beauty in growing up. I hope the film gives everyone a renewed appreciation for life and the people that shape our life choices.”

Fans of the features will also be pleased to know that attendees will get to view exclusive extra footage, including interviews with the cast and crew. The February 7 showing of the film will feature the Japanese subtitled version, while the February 10 show will screen the English-dubbed version.
