Hyperdimension Neptunia: Sisters vs. Sisters Shows Action Gameplay in Debut Trailer
Compile Heart has shared the first trailer for their newest action RPG Hyperdimension Neptunia: Sisters vs. Sisters, in development for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Currently, the game is only announced for Japan, but the western publisher, Idea Factory International, typically brings over all things Nep-related.
The gameplay shown highlights the three-person party system along with some of the environments and enemies that players will face off against. While the trailer does lack sound effects, it’s nice to see that the action appears to be smooth, but we’d still like to see more.
Hyperdimension Neptunia: Sisters vs. Sisters will launch on April 22, 2022, in Japan and is being directed by Hikaru Yasui, who has worked on previous entries and spin-offs of the series.
Gameplay has players create a party comprised of the sister candidates, Nepgear, Rom, Ram, and Uni, and fight in a real-time action battle system. Players create parties of three but only need to control one character while the others are AI-controlled. Still, players can switch between all characters to create combos using switch arts and link abilities. Further, players can explore the environments to collect items and interact with the area. The PS5 version is said to feature haptic feedback for its DualSense controller. Whatever that means.
Hyperdimension Neptunia: Sisters vs. Sisters does feature a story where the sisters awaken after being asleep for two years. Phones known as MagiPhones have taken over, and the older sisters are missing. This could only really lead to one resolution, fighting everything in an area and triggering story scenes as they get the attention of the people and find their sisters.
We’ll keep you updated on the development and release of Hyperdimension Neptunia: Sisters vs. Sisters.
