HoYoverse Confirmed for Brazil Game Show 2022

The official Twitter account for the Brazil Game Show gaming convention announced that HoYoverse will appear with an “exclusive booth” featuring their popular title Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.

For those unaware, the Brazil Game Show is a gaming convention that originated in Rio de Janeiro and migrated to the city of São Paulo in 2012, where it now takes place every year. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was canceled in 2020 and 2021, having been relegated to a limited online event. This time, however, to compensate for the missing years, the convention will go from October 6 to October 12, a total of seven days, compared to the event’s usual five-day period.

I myself have gone to the Brazil Game Show event multiple times, and I’m particularly excited to go back to it this year after the long 2-year hiatus. However, 2018’s convention held 325,000 people, so I wonder how many people there will be this year.

Honkai: Star Rail features a game world awaiting discovery with elements of myths and legends blended into the space sci-fi story. In this universe, there are the Aeons, incarnations of universal principles that can freely travel between infinite worlds using some kind of primitive force.

The protagonist, who was implanted with a Stellaron, embarks on a trip aboard the Astral Express with a group of passengers who claim to have inherited the spirit of the Trailblaze, pursuing the trails of Aeons to explore the realms of the universe. The expedition progresses as the protagonist and the crew seek the ultimate answers to the journey’s purpose and unearth secrets buried in legends.

Genshin Impact is a free-to-play open-world action RPG that brings players to the visually stunning world of Teyvat. The player takes on the role of the mysterious “Traveler,” who sets off on a journey to discover the fate of their lost sibling and unveils the mysterious secrets of Teyvat along the way.

Starting from Version 3.0, players can explore Sumeru, as well as Mondstadt, Liyue Harbor, and Inazuma, three of the seven major cities in Teyvat, each with unique cultures, stories, and vast surrounding landscapes, and offering a diversity of creatures, monsters, secrets, and hidden treasures for players to discover.

Genshin Impact’s Version 3.0 update is now available. With the cross-save and cross-play functions, players can enjoy their adventure across PlayStation, PC, Android, and iOS.
