Shortly after Sega announced that Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix will release exclusively to Nintendo Switch on May 15 in the west, the publisher announced that a free demo is available for fans to download via the Nintendo Switch eShop.
The demo includes two songs, Arifureta Sekai Seifuku and Romeo and Cinderella, to be played in either the traditional button-based ‘Arcade Mode’ or the all-new motion-based ‘Mix Mode.’ However, after jumping into the demo, it seems there are multiple options menus available to players that contain different features. Hence, we decided to lay them out for you to find what you are looking for.
On the main menu, you have an Options tab that you can press, but this only opens up the Sound Config options, which is generally not something too crucial until after you get a fill for your playing preference and which sounds you enjoy hearing the most.
What you’ll most likely be looking for will be found in the Customization menu, which can be accessed from the Main Menu as well as by pressing X on the song listings page. Here you can customize the characters with different outfits and accessories and fine-tune your experience within the game.
For fans of the PlayStation console releases, you’ll be happy to see that you can customize the look of the face buttons by heading into the Game/Control Config. Here, players can also calibrate their button presses, which is a much-needed feature in any rhythm game.
These options are kind of hidden away in the menus, but they could very well make or break your experience with the game.
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix is coming to Nintendo Switch on May 5.
