Team Ninja announced that path version 1.09 of their action-adventure Nioh 2 is now live for PlayStation 4 players.
In the patch, the developer celebrates 1 million copies sold worldwide by distributing “Million Demon Armor” to players. Players can receive the armor by accessing the Boons section after the update.
Additionally, players will find a hand full of new missions that take place during the Shadow, Twilight, and Afterglow chapters of the game. Each mission will send players on a quest through various maps and feature a few different objectives to gain additional rewards.
The biggest addition of the patch is a Photo Mode. Players can activate the mode during gameplay, which will cause the time to freeze and allow them to adjust the camera angle and brightness of the shot.
Players are also able to apply special filters and frames, and take photos of hte in-game scenery using the Share Button on the DualShock 4 controller. The photo mode can be found in the status menu. The mode can also be activated during multiplayer, but the scene will not freeze.
The developer has also implemented a host of other adjustments and fixes to bugs found in the game.
Nioh 2’s protagonist is a half-breed, part human, and Yokai, which gives him unbelievable power. Through his journey, players will travel across the Sengoku period of Japan as they find themselves deep inside the Dark Realm of the Yokai. The character controlled by the player is also a mute mercenary known for hunting powerful Yokai, but the dark realm seems to be always surrounding them.
