WFS has launched the collaboration between their RPG, Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space, and the Square Enix-developed Chrono Cross.
To celebrate the event, a special campaign is taking place to allow users the chance to get 2,000 Chronos Stones. Masato Kato, the original writer for Chrono Cross, returns to the helm of this new scenario. This is the first crossover event for Chrono Cross ever, which makes it special as it is nearly 22 years old.
The game system features new elements unique to Chrono Cross such as New Game+, Field Effects, Elements, and Special Attacks. The soundtrack features music from Chrono Cross as well as crossover commemorative music composed by Shunsuke Tsuchiya and Mariam Abounnasr, and supervised by Yasunori Mitsuda from Procyon Studio.
The event will feature a new story arc featuring Serge (CV: Aston Frank), Kid (CV: Sheena May), and Harle (CV: Shazia Nicholls). Each character can be added to the party with additional characters Lynx, Glenn, and Starky appearing in the narrative.
To access the collab you’ll have to clear the Main Story Chapter 13.
In addition, Serge, Kid, and Harle can each accumulate “power levels” during battle.
They can accumulate power levels by using normal attacks and skills. The skills they learn with Elements become more effective according to how many power levels they’ve accumulated.
Another Eden follows Aldo, an unassuming boy from a small village, who tumbles 800 years into the future; he discovers a plot to end the world, interwoven through several time periods. Explore a vast, vibrant fantasy world across three different eras. During gameplay, players will recruit allies among over 100 playable party members. It’s possible to master nostalgic turn-based combat with combo attacks, magic chants, party buffs, and other powers.
