The House in Fata Morgana and A Requiem for Innocence Remastered Revealed Bringing 4K Resolution to PC Version
Novectactle announced that The House in Fata Morgana and The House in Fata Morgana: A Requiem for Innocence will receive a PC Remaster adding 4K resolution options to the game for 2,000 Yen and 1,620 Yen, respectively. The update will release in Japan on March 12 and on Steam later this year.
Animate Games will be working on the remastered version of the two titles. The team has reworked the game’s UI and design to look better with higher resolutions. The previous PC version only supports 800 by 600 resolution, which causes the text to look too small on modern screens. Some of the redrawn stills from the PS4 version will be used for this release.
Additionally, a smartphone browser version of the visual novel is in development by Animate Games. A release date was not provided.
The House in Fata Morgana is a visual novel released in 2012 that tells the story of a spirit who wakes up in a mansion without a memory. However, there is a Maid present who works with the spirit to recover portions of its memory. This involves exploring the mansion’s past in hopes that the spirit recognizes itself. It’s a dark and engaging tale and one that has stuck with players long after its conclusion.
In case you want to know our feeling about the kinetic visual novel, we wrote a feature detailing its strongest moments. Also, it was recently announced that the 5 Volume manga series will be coming west.
The House in Fata Morgana is available now on PC, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation 4, with a Switch version in development.
