First-Person Horror Game ‘Blair Witch’ Revealed; Gets a Trailer Showing Intense Gameplay

Today at Microsoft’s E3 conference, Blair Witch, an Outlast-esque horror game based on the movie of the same name, was revealed and it’s set to release PC and Xbox One-via the Xbox Game Pass on August 30. It’s coming from the Blooper Team.

The trailer showed some intense and spooky gameplay that had a very Outlast feel as it seems the player will need to run and hide their way through the game in order to survive. Similar to the movie of the same name, it appears the game will be set in a deep, mysterious woods-like world, where everywhere the player goes will be dark and full of terrors.

We’ll update this article with more details later, so be sure to check back.

Here’s the description of the game that was included in the video description for the trailer:

It’s 1996. A young boy disappears in the Black Hills Forest near Burkittsville, Maryland. As Ellis, a former police officer with a troubled past, you join the search. What starts as an ordinary investigation soon turns into an endless nightmare as you confront your fears and the Blair Witch, a mysterious force that haunts the woods…
