Horror Adventure ‘Blair Witch’ Gets Switch Release Date

Bloober Team announced that their horror adventure Blair Witch will launch on June 25 for $29.99.

Blair Witch is an original story inspired by the Lionsgate produced Blair Witch film. The game is set in 1996, where a young boy has goon missing in the Black Hill Forest new Burkittsville, Maryland. Players assume the role of Ellis, a former police officer with a troubled past. Luckily, he’s not alone on this quest as he brings his canine companion, Bullet, with him to help.

As they search for the boy, the pair quickly discover that not everything is normal about this forest, and they find themselves in a nightmare. Ellis is forced to confront his fears, his past, and whatever mysteries haunt the woods.

The Switch version will launch with the Good Boy Pack update, which includes some customization for Bullet. This allows players to change the fur attributes, eye color, and collar. The bundle will also include the Super Rex mini-game, which features plenty of Bullet interaction.

The publisher released a new gameplay trailer showing Blair Witch running on Switch hardware. The visuals haven’t been downgraded too much as the game still retains its atmosphere. The Switch version also features touch screen support on the menus.
