Honkai Star Rail Shares New Animated Short Featuring Jing Yuan

Developer HoYoverse has recently published a brand-new animated short for their space-faring RPG Honkai Star Rail. Titled “A Flash”, the video showcases the past of Jing Yuan, the general of the Xianzhou Luofu, and features his battle against his former master Jingliu, who was afflicted by the mara-struck. The animated short was produced by miHoYo Anime in collaboration with Fantasier Animation and Studio ppuri.

Year 7380 Star Calendar, Jingliu, the mara-stricken swordmaster of the Luofu, slashed her way out of Starskiff Haven, cutting through the Cloud Knights tasked to subdue her before vanishing in the mist of history.
Year 8096 Star Calendar, a young soldier named Yanqing rose to fame from the tournament hosted by the Seat of Divine Foresight, and was conferred the rank of Cloud Knight Lieutenant.
“The years pass in a flash, cups of wine the only solace.” A fleeting flash — thus is the speed of swift blades as the master and her student spar, and thus is the passage of the unceasing torrent of time.
Just how long has it been? His duel with his master, centuries ago, still rippled like a memory from yesterday. But the few years between now and when he took in the boy as his student felt like a lifetime.
Time gallops, swift as a stallion, sudden as a lightning strike, agonizing as a blade that runs him through. And yet, it feels like everything has always been the same.

Honkai: Star Rail is a space fantasy RPG title with a journey through immense worlds of the unknown. The game features fantasy elements with myths and legends integrated into the space sci-fi story. Combined with the intuitive turn-based combat system, large maps with maze exploration and immersive storylines that together compose an interstellar melody filled with surprises and rewarding experiences that echo throughout the universe!

Implanted with a Stellaron, the protagonist bravely sets sail for the galaxy to drill down to the truth revolving around the so-called Cancer of All Worlds. Players will be able to experience a vast universe abundant in distinctive cultures, landscapes, and scenery. From the Herta Space Station, where the knowledge reserve of the universe and the forthcoming journey has been granted, to Jarilo-VI, where numerous dangers and conflicts are frozen beneath the snow, to Xianzhou Luofu, the silkpunk flagship infused with eastern fantasy where development and dispute are focusing on the topic of immortality.
