Action RPG ‘Honkai Impact 3rd’ Reveals Neon Genesis Evangelion Collaboration Coming Later This Month

miHoYo announced that their mobile action RPG Honkai Impact 3rd will launch a collaboration with Neon Genesis Evangelion on PC-via their launcher and iOS and Android devices on January 21.

“Neon Genesis Evangelion is a monumental work in the history of anime. Its core resonates with that of Honkai Impact 3rd as both Valkyries and NERV are ordained to fight for the world,” miHoYo’s CEO Liu Wei comments. “Evangelion has remained hugely successful for decades. The unprecedented level of anticipation for the latest movie proves the quality of the content released over the years to cater to its fans. I’m very excited about our upcoming collaboration because it can create something genuinely unique.”

The collaboration will bring characters from Neon Genesis Evangelion into the action title along with events and systems updates.

Now available on PC and mobile, Honkai Impact 3rd is set in a world that has been plagued by cataclysms caused by “Honkai,” which is an energy that can synthesize, imitate, or mutate substances natural or artificial. In order to save the world from tyranny, warriors known as Valkyries will use their skills to defeat the Honkai and defend humanity.
