Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is releasing for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on October 26, 2021.
The game looks very similar to Marvel’s Avengers without the live service. Instead, the gameplay has players take a strategic approach to gunplay where players can switch skills on the fly to take down enemies. From the reveal trailer, it seems the characters resemble their film counterparts in personality, but not their appearance.
In the story, the group has been together for less than a year, and they must face off against a massive threat to the galaxy. Non-popular enemies are promised to make appearances, so players have hopefully inventive battles to look forward to.
During gameplay, players can choose dialogue options that get a reaction from the others. Additionally, environments will feature enemy waves where players can utilize character skills, including Starlord’s jet boots.
