Tencent Games’ subsidiary, MoreFun Studios, has announced an upcoming mobile game adaptation of the Hitori No Shita: The Outcast webcomic and animated series. In the original storyline, protagonist Chou Soran approaches his grandfather’s grave but finds himself attacked by zombies when stumbling upon a disturbing incident in a quaint village. Although a mysterious sword-wielding girl saves him, then disappears, setting up a climatic chain of events shaping Cho’s life.
This “modern-day Chinese culture, mystical martial arts action, and supernatural folklore” in the Inhuman world will serve to celebrate the source material with smooth combat animations, distinct presentation, and more. Further, alongside this game’s announcement was a trailer showcasing what prospective players can expect from the title.
The combat is stated to be a ” “dance” of offensive attacks and defensive techniques.” The crux of this fighting system relies on players reacting to enemies’ telegraphs and seeking opportunities to take advantage of their unique openings.
Moreover, the narrative “will utilize all original story elements from both the webcomic and animated series.” However, there is currently no stated release date other than it arriving “soon.”
