Square Enix revealed the IO Interactive is working on Hitman III for a next console generation release planned for January 2021.
In Hitman III, players will meet back up with Agent 47 for his most “intimate and professional” contract to date. This will also mark the conclusion of the world assassination trilogy. The agent will find himself in environments such as Dubai as he takes on missions using stealth tactics and other means to take out his targets.
Hitman III is the sequel to Hitman 2, which was released in 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game built on the previous installments where players travel the world and eliminate high-profile targets. How players approach missions is up to them as there are multiple ways to approach gameplay. Players also have access to a variety of gadgets that they can take into a mission to get to their objectives in style.
This style of gameplay is assumed to continue in Hitman III, we also assume that the game will release of PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, but we are waiting for a firm release date and will update you when we get confirmation.
