Hitman 3 Grants Free Access of ‘The Icon’ Mission to All Players for Limited Time

Developer IO Interactive has announced that The Icon mission in Hitman 3 is now available for free for all players for a limited time. This is actually a bonus mission from the original Hitman and consists of Agent 47 traveling to Sapienza, which has been heavily altered into a movie set for shooting an upcoming superhero movie known as The Icon.

Dino Bosco is the film’s lead actor and director and hopes that this film will reignite his career, but the constant re-shoots and desire for perfection have pushed the film behind schedule and over budget. Additionally, the studio behind it, L’Avventura Pictures, is on the verge of bankruptcy. Due to the studio’s contractual ties with Bosco preventing them from firing him, Agent 47 has been hired to take Bosco out.

This mission is freely playable for all owners of the game until May 23, 2021.

Boasting gameplay at 4k with 60 fps, this title showcases the variety of gameplay opportunities present in the Glacier Engine. The new camera opens locks and analyses your performance, which will help your post-mission Playstyles where your efforts will be proportionally judged and awarded. In addition to the new camera, the Glacier engine provides improvements to lighting, reflection, animation, and AI.

Additionally, players can import locations from the prior 2 titles in the trilogy and have over 20 locations under one roof. The improvements via the Glacier engine can be applied to these prior locations as well.
