Developer Phabula has announced that its debut title, the 3D action-platformer Hexrite, will launch on PC via Steam later in 2026, with console versions planned to follow shortly. The full campaign will run for more than eight hours.
Hexrite is inspired by sixth-generation console-era games, particularly PlayStation 2-era action titles. Players control a sorcerer attempting to revive a deity while traveling.
Combat revolves around a spell-based system that lets players mix offensive magic with battlefield-altering abilities. One of the core mechanics is the Domes of Magic system, which changes the environment during encounters. Players can create paper constructs, poison clouds, or even transform the ground into slippery bubble-covered terrain.
Outside combat, players will encounter quests and rewards, including new items and abilities. Spells can be upgraded into alternate forms with different uses. Traversal and platforming play a major role, with movement abilities such as gliding and bouncing across environmental objects.
