505 Games announced their plans to partner with developer Ninja Theory to produce physical versions of their action adventure game Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on December 4.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is set in the 8th century where players will assume the role of Senua, a warrior who is searching for the soul of her dead lover, Dillion, which was taken by the Goddess Hela. Evidently, Senua is cursed to hear voices in her head as she fights her way towards her goal. There is plenty more to this story, but I feel like it’d be spoilers to go on.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has won several awards including five 2018 Bagta Games Awards for Best British Game, Best Artistic Achievement, Best Game Beyond Entertainment, Best Performer and Best Audio Achievement.
Ninja Theory was recently purchased by Microsoft to produce for the Xbox console. Meaning, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice could be the of their games to ever appear on a PlayStation platform. With that said, the Xbox One version of the physical release of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will be handled by Microsoft.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
In case you missed it, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice also released a VR version of the game on PC.

Author’s take: 505 Games is pretty good publisher so I’m glad that it was them to step up to this task. At least this means that one of those limited edition companies won’t be able to only produce 1800 copies of this awesome game.
