Hell Maiden is a new game inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy. It’s up to the player to face various hordes in a survivors-like experience, but the resources that define your abilities are the cards in your deck.
As a maiden named Dante, the player must use everything they have to defeat the hordes. Progressing through them will eventually help her find a way through the nine circles of Hell as she seeks salvation.
Besides the enemies, the journey also involves rescuing the Poets of Limbo. Those individuals will grant the player blessings, including abilities, perks, signature attacks, and ultimate weapons.
Drawing on legendary poets such as Homer, Ovid, Horace, and Lucan, they seem essential to the task. Dante is accompanied by the Roman poet Virgil and is protected by the sanctified Beatrice, both of whom should be crucial.
Hell Maiden will be released for PC via Steam Early Access on July 16, 2026.
