Studio Élan announced they are working with developer Ratalaika Games to release their yuri romance visual novel Heart of the Woods on PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in Q2 2021; publisher Sekai Project will handle the release.
This console release was initially planned to come in 2020, but the porting process seemed to hit a few roadblocks. Luckily, the developer has teamed up with a good group of people assisting with the port using Renpy.
Hopefully, there’s a physical release planned. Backers of the Kickstarter campaign will receive codes ahead of the official release.
Heart of the Woods has players go on a paranormal investigation in a remote forest village with Maddie, and her best friend, Tara. Throughout the game, players will encounter plenty of ancient mysteries and witness a love story between two girls unfold that transcends life and death. There’s more to this game than just two girls having a good time, so players should plan to expect the unexpected.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the console release of Heart of the Woods and any other titles from Studio Elan.
