Joseimuke Visual Novel ‘Haunted Obachestra’ Reveals the Excitable but Easily Fatigued Hellhound Boy Henas Meidoh
Moonchime Studios has shared a new character profile for Haunted Obachestra. Their Twitter account revealed some info on one of the hellhound triplets, Henas Meidoh. The joseimuke visual novel developed by Poni-Pachet will have a Kickstarter launched in July, 2022, though more details about this crowdfunding campaign will be shared later.
Written by Yumas (Ozmafia!!, Steam Prison), Haunted Obachestra tells the story of a young man or woman called Yukiha Nasu. They end up moving into a western-style house because rent is cheap but not only will they share a house with multiple people, these individuals happen to be non-humans who love playing old-fashioned instruments and practice in the basement.
We already know the vampire Exnaz von Enterstein, the incubus Merry Christhrnova, the werewolf Gioh von Wolfhart and the unicorn Fumiyomi Hitokado. Now we get a closer look at the hellhound triplets, starting with Henas Meidoh. Keep in mind all three of them are voiced by Shingaki Tarusuke, whose other works include Kaname Date in AI: The Somnium Files, Fin Euclase in Steam Prison, and Watase Kasasagi in Root Double.
They used to be a single entity, an Underworld guard dog, but they divided into three people to play music together after wandering into a live club. Henas is one of them, and he’s in charge of vocals and drums. As far as personality goes, he’s the kind to get excited during the morning to surprise people by showing up instead of his other “brothers” as the three save energy by only using one body at a time when they aren’t playing anything.
He’s the one who takes care of the laundry and he’s fond of buffets for their efficiency. The fact he gets too excited in the morning means his energy drops early and he’s absent-minded later on, so people end up thinking he’s a laid-back dude but that isn’t true.
If you’d like to get a glimpse at Henas’ voice, you can check out the official Japanese site for Poni-Pachet’s multimedia project which offers a few samples of his voice. If you’d like to check out the hellhound triplets’ musical performance, check out this video of their character album:
