Publisher Dramatic Create has announced a Switch port of boys’ love visual novel Hashihime of the Old Book Town to be released on December 16, 2021.
The game, by Japanese developer ADELTA, is a bizarre murder mystery set in 1920s Japan with a distinctive psychedelic art style and has been well received by BL fans.
The story follows Tamamori, a writer with a vivid imagination, who works at a used bookstore while preparing to re-take his university entrance exams. When his friends start dying under mysterious circumstances, Tamamori starts repeating the same three days over and over and must find a way to save them.
Hashihime of the Old Book Town was previously published in English by MangaGamer, and the Switch release will include Japanese and English language options, as well as new translations in simplified and traditional Chinese.
The adult content from the PC release will be censored for Switch, but there’s plenty of extra content to make up for it, including new artwork and short stories for each love interest.
