2D Action Platformer ‘Hardcore Mecha’ Gets PS4 Release Date in the West

RocketPunch Games announced that their 2D action platformer title, Hardcore Mecha, will launch on PlayStation 4 in the west on January 14.

Hardcore Mecha is a 2D platformer where players will choose a mech and set out on an adventure. During the campaign, players will take control of Tarethur, a mercenary on a mission to Mars in search of a missing intelligence officer. The story is told over eight chapters and 18 stages of various environments and encounters. There are also stages where pilots are able to exit their mech, which forces players to be a little more cautious during a fight.

Hardcore Mecha is a truly stylized 2D Mech action game that platformer fans will love, with a huge variety of mechs and killer moves to master, it delivers on our promise to create a truly competitive action game,” said Louiky, Producer at RocketPunch Games. “We’re thrilled to announce that both North America and European PlayStation 4 players can now battle it out with their chosen mecha.”

Hardcore Mecha is a game created out of the China Hero Project and created by a small team of people. The game support PVP modes with online and offline multiplayer for up to four players. Additional modes include Survival mode and Simulation Battle.

Hardcore Mecha is available now on PC.
