Happinet Corporation has announced that it will publish the adventure game Tokyo Stories under its Happinet Indie Collection label, and that it has surpassed 50,000 wishlists ahead of its release.
Originally announced in 2022, Tokyo Stories is being planned and produced by Drecom, with development support from CharacterBank.
The game follows Suzu, a young woman who arrives in Tokyo in search of her missing best friend, Yuno. Alongside Suzu and Yuno, the story also introduces a young man hiding an undisclosed secret. The narratives of all three characters eventually intersect. The gameplay shifts between exploration-focused adventure sequences and puzzle-driven segments.
Tokyo Stories is now entering a new phase of development and promotion. The game will appear at Kyoto BitSummit PUNCH beginning May 22, where attendees can try an early playable demo at the Happinet booth. The event space will also include themed activities.
Tokyo Stories is currently in development for PC via Steam.
