Hades’ Audio Director Gives Music Studio Tour Discussing Previous Work, Owned Instruments, and More

As part of the Nintendo Minute series on the official Nintendo Youtube channel, the audio director for the beloved action roguelike Hades, Darren Korb, appeared to give viewers a tour of his music studio. Throughout this video, it’s clear Korb loves what he does, and his detailed explanations and anecdotes on his compositional history with SuperGiant titles make for a simultaneously informative and enjoyable watch.

Hades is loved for practically just about every one of its facets, but its soundtrack is arguably near the top of what fans appreciate the most. It is atmospheric, addicting, and never tiresome to hear after dozens of hours of Hell-diving.

Hades is a sensational roguelike that initially launched on PC via Steam to incredibly favorable impressions. Since then, it has been ported to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, so players across every platform can enjoy this genre-defining experience.

Developer Supergiant Games has worked on other stellar titles such as Bastion and Transistor. The former was actually the first game I ever played on Steam, so I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for Supergiant and the consistently qualitative work they have done.
