Atelier Producer Promises Future Entries Will Graphically Surpass the High Bar Ryza Set

It’s easy to see the graphical improvements brought to the Atelier series in Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout. While playing through the adventure, players will notice a high level of detail put into not only the character models but also the world-building.

Talking to Atelier series producer Keisuke Kikuchi, we asked if graphics is something that Gust is focusing on for there titles and if fans can look forward to more graphical improvements in their future projects. Kikuchi-san explained, “This is something that we are trying to accomplish, and I believe that we can still make improvements in this area of development.” he adds, “We usually make anime-style games. What I noticed with our latest release is that fans noticed the modeling, texture quality, and shadows that we’ve been improving on in our recent games and they seem to appreciate it.”

Fans who are enjoying the look of Atelier Ryza will be excited to hear that Kikuchi-san followed up with his statement by saying, “We will continue to improve in this area of development so you can expect the next Atelier to surpass what you saw in Ryza.”
