As part of their 30th-anniversary merchandise celebrations, Gust has unveiled new illustrations of protagonist Sophie Neuenmuller from the Atelier Sophie duology. Both were drawn by character designer NOCO, depicting Sophie in bunny-girl attire and a swimsuit.
The official Gust Twitter account shared full, clean versions of these images sans the game logo, while B2-sized tapestries of these illustrations are available for pre-order alongside a plethora of other Gust 30th anniversary goods. Both items cost ¥4,500, with availability until February 18, 2024.
The Gust 30th anniversary previously unveiled even more new character art of Atelier protagonists, as well as of characters from Blue Reflection and Ar Nosurge.
Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream continues the tale of Sophie and Plachta, who have traveled on many new adventures. After leaving Sophie’s hometown of Kirchen Bell, the two stumble across a tree that Plachta has seen in her dream.
Upon inspection, they are pulled into a vortex, and Sophie wakes up in a world called Erde Widege, where she hears someone who sounds awfully familiar to Plachta. However, it’s not her friend Plachta, but a young alchemist with the same name. I’m sure you can see where this is going.
Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream is now available worldwide on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
