Gunvolt Records: Cychronicle Removed from Switch eShop Temporarily “Due to a Change in Ratings”

Developer Inti Creates has announced that their recent rhythm game, Gunvolt Records: Cychronicle, has been removed from the Nintendo Switch eShop temporarily due to a change in ratings. Specifics regarding the matter weren’t stated, but the team plans on resolving it quickly and making the game available for sale once again.

For those unaware, the title was rated on the Switch eShop as “Everyone,” while it’s “Teen” on other storefronts, so this fix will likely apply to that.

You can view Inti Creates’ statement below:

Due to a change in ratings, GUNVOLT RECORDS Cychronicle has been temporarily removed from the Nintendo Switch eShop. We will resolve the issue and return it to sale quickly. We will update here as soon as it’s available again. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

The gameplay of GUNVOLT RECORDS Cychronicle will consist of players timing button presses as notes appear across two lanes, with the dual analog controls syncing with the characters dancing in the 3D backgrounds. Gameplay footage and scenes from the Azure Striker Gunvolt series can also be shown. Just like the other Gunvolt titles, performing poorly, in this case, constantly missing notes, will trigger the songstress’ Anthem ability, reviving your current run.

Players can anticipate several tracks from the Gunvolt games, CD-only releases, and Azure Striker Gunvolt: The Anime. Further, each track will be listenable via the in-game music player, boasting repeat and playlist functionalities for player individuality.
