2D Action Gods Have Answered Our Prayers, Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 Announced for All Platforms

During BitSummit The 8th Bit, Inti Creates took a moment to announced that Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 is in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam on January 27, 2022.

Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 is a sequel to the 2019 release of Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger. This new adventure features Copin who brings his stylish moves along with a new “Break-Shift” form. Further, Copen is equipped with a new spinning blade weapon, the Razor Wheel that rips through enemies, which will help against the new enemies and bosses that stand in his way. Following a boss battle, Copen will earn a new EX Weapon to mix up his arsenal.

Returning is Lola, who received a software update. When Copen’s HP hits 0, she can activate her Anthem skill to bring him back to life. However, she’s now able to heal him using a Healing Mode that players can use at any time.

A physical release is planned for PS4 and Switch in Asia, but a western physical release is still in planning.
