2D Action Platformer ‘Gunlord X’ Coming to PS4 With Updated Systems

EastAsiaSoft announced they’ll be publishing the NGDEV-developed 2D action platformer Gunlord X on PlayStation 4 on December 10.

Gunlord X features 11 open-world stages that players are able to run around in as they take out numerous enemies along the way. There are over 60 unique enemies to take down, including bosses. The game has been updated with balances and tweaks for this release to make it the definitive version.

Gunlord X isn’t trying to tell a compelling story as much as it’s trying to take players through a classic action-adventure quest. Throughout levels, players will find secrets and new weapons to use against the game’s enemies. There is also a Newgame+ mode along with various options for players to customize their playing experience such as adding in scanline shaders and changing the controls. The game allows for twin-stick shooting and runs at a stable 60fps.

Additionally, the developer released a new trailer for the game that shows it running on PS4 hardware. Viewers get a chance to check out its action and level design before the official release, which honestly is like a day away.

Gunlord X is also available on Nintendo Switch via the eShop.
